From surf breaks in Weligama to jungle waterfalls, mountain trains, and wild safaris — this 10-night journey through southern Sri Lanka is all about variety. We’ll start with barefoot beach days and beginner-friendly surf sessions, then head inland through rainforests, tea country, and cultural heartlands. You’ll swim beneath hidden falls, spot elephants in the wild, ride one of the most scenic train routes in the world, and climb ancient stone fortresses.
This trip blends adventure with chill time, connection with nature, and space to slow down or dive in deep. Whether you're here for the surf, the sunsets, or the stories you'll leave with — it’s all part of the experience.
Arrive in Sri Lanka and settle into your stay by the beach. After a 2.5-hour drive from the airport, check into Moody Moon and take the rest of the day to relax, explore, or grab a drink with the group.
Ease into the trip with your first surf lesson. Boards and instructors are included. The rest of the day is open for yoga, exploring Weligama, or just kicking back.
Take a full-day trip into the rainforest to swim under waterfalls and hike through the Sinharaja Reserve. Expect jungle trails, fresh water, and a slower pace.
Head out early for a safari in Udawalawe, one of Sri Lanka’s top parks for elephants and wildlife. That night, we’ll ring in the new year at a private beach spot with a bonfire, BBQ, and fireworks.
Cruise around Weligama and Mirissa. Optional beach hopping, cafes, or more surf. A slow, sun-soaked day.
Leave the coast and head inland. The 3.5-hour drive to Ella takes you through changing landscapes and cooler mountain air. Settle into the hills for a slower pace.
Hike to Little Adam’s Peak and explore Ella. Optional activities at Ravana Adventure Park are available for those who want a bit more adrenaline.
One of the most scenic train rides in the world. Take the train from Ella to Nanu Oya, then continue by car to Kandy with a stop at Ambuluwawa Tower for panoramic views.
Drive to Sigiriya and visit Pidurangala Rock for a sunset lookout over the surrounding jungle. A slower-paced day with time to take it all in.
Start early with a climb up Lion’s Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sights. In the afternoon, learn to cook traditional Sri Lankan food with locals.
Early drive back to Colombo (approx. 3.5 hours) for your flight home. Final group hugs, coffee stops, and that last look at the island before takeoff.
Throughout the journey, we’ve handpicked intimate, locally-owned stays that connect you to the heart of Sri Lanka. Each place brings its own character — from misty mountain cottages in Ella to a welcoming hilltop home in Kandy, and a peaceful garden villa in the jungle near Sigiriya.
These aren’t luxury resorts — they’re soulful, grounded spaces where you’ll wake up to birdsong, sip tea on a breezy veranda, and fall asleep to the sound of the forest. Every location was chosen for its authenticity, access to nature, and warm hospitality.
Expect clean, comfortable double rooms, fresh home-cooked meals, and hosts who treat you like family. You won’t just pass through — you’ll feel like you live there.

I was a straight-A student — until I lost my dad and realized life’s too short not to live it fully. After school, I took a gap year to travel and ended up visiting over 15 countries while sharing my journey online.
I loved it so much, I found a way to turn it into a lifestyle — working with brands and creating travel content to inspire others to do the same.
This will be my second time in Sri Lanka, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most beautiful, underrated places I’ve been. I’m so excited to have you join me on this once-in-a-lifetime surf and adventure trip. Can’t wait to meet you all!
Got any questions about the retreat, we'd love to chat with you!
